See what your Mac says behind your back
Mouchard (“snitch” in French) shows you every request sent by your Mac, your iPhone or the Xcode simulators, HTTPS included.
macOS 14 or later Apple Silicon English & French
Everything you need to read the traffic
Mouchard points out what matters, so you don’t have to dig through headers.
-
HTTPS, decrypted
Trust Mouchard’s certificate once and HTTPS traffic shows up in clear. Apps that pin their own certificate are left alone.
-
One switch for the whole Mac
Turn it on and everything your Mac sends goes through Mouchard. Turn it off and your settings are back as they were, even after a crash.
-
Clues at a glance
Mouchard spots the details for you: when a token expires, which GraphQL query ran, a redirect, a slow or heavy response.
-
A readable inspector
JSON, HTML and XML in color, with folding. Images are previewed, compressed bodies are decoded, and responses appear as they arrive.
-
WebSockets
Follow messages both ways, encrypted or not, with readable JSON.
-
iPhone and simulators
Scan a QR code to set up your iPhone, or click once for a simulator. Each request tells you which device sent it.
-
Replay and edit
Send a request again as is, or tweak it first.
-
Redirect and rewrite
Point production requests at staging or your local server, or answer them with a file you edit yourself.
-
Modify headers, block hosts
Add, change or remove a header. Block a host and its requests never reach the server.
Deliberately small
Mouchard does one thing: show you the traffic. Here is what we asked it for, and what it answered.
- GET/breakpoints404 No pausing requests mid-flight.
- GET/throttling404 No simulated slow networks.
- POST/scripts501 No scripting: rules cover the usual cases.
- GET/http2505 HTTP/1.1 only.
- CONNECTpinned-app.exampleTunnel Pinned apps go through untouched.
- GET/history410 Nothing on disk: requests live in memory.
- GET/proxy.pac404 HTTP and HTTPS proxies only: no PAC, no SOCKS.
